"When I lived at the entrance to Left Hand Canyon,
along Colorado Highway 36 between Boulder and Lyons, I
would drive past an old garage with an aspen tree growing
inside. I always thought of how most man-made structures
decay and nature renews itself. I thought this was an
excellent living metaphor for mankind's relationship with
Mother Earth."
