"I taught painting classes
at Sylvia Hazlerig's 'Music
House' in Crestone. Beautiful
daffodils were growing in the room where I taught. During the class, I started painting with the intention of paintng an iris, but the magnificance of the daffodils took over and the painting ended up with this image."

(The painting is three-dimensional, that is why the photograph shows "raised"
sections on the canvas.)
