Water-Based Oil Painting Class

This is an on-going class and you can join at any time.

Using Water-Based Oil paints, the class is designed to introduce new art students to the paints and painting techniques. For intermediate and advanced students, the class is designed to provide critiques and instruction on how to polish your personal style including composition, color theory and brush techniques.

The first half hour of class is devoted to discussing a new painting technique and critiquing work finished at home.The remainder of the time is used to work on paintings or begin a new painting. The class structure is individual instruction in a group setting.

If you have ever wanted to take a painting class and have been concerned about not being skilled enough, this is the class for you. If you are an intermediate or advanced student and want help polishing your style, this is the class for you.

Each student is responsible for all art supplies. If you have any questions, please contact me. I can help you find the right place to purchase the supplies.

Oil Pastel Drawing Class

This is an on-going class, you can join at any time.

This class will introduce you to a contemplative approach to art making using oil pastels. Color theory, composition and elements to creating a drawing will be introduced.

If you have always wanted to take a drawing class, or,
if you want to expand your artistic experience to include a more expressive and intuitive approach to your art making, this is the class for you.

You will complete an oil pastel drawing at each session.

You can bring your own oil pastels to class, or I will sell you a box at the first class. Good drawing paper will be provided at each session.

Parent/Child Art Classes

During this special after-school art class for Parents/Children, you will be able to spend time together creating oil pastel drawings.

During the four week class, you will be introduced to several creative approaches to art making, including color theory, composition and a meditative approach to creativity.

You can bring your own oil pastels to class, or I will sell you a box at the first class. Good drawing paper will be provided at each session.
