| Art is the perfect
metaphor for the contemplative experience. As you begin to draw,
you will discover you can trust your inner intuitive process
to create a drawing you had no idea you could complete when
you began. You will explore ways to access your creativity,
support your artistic style and express your heart-centered
perspective.
To support your creative process, you will be introduced to
great works of art and art concepts such as color theory and
composition.
You will use oil pastels as the drawing media. They are easy
to use so you can immediately concentrate on your creativity
and complete four drawings during the workshop.
For participants with no art-making experience, you will
have the opportunity to discover your creativity in a safe,
supportive environment. For experienced artists, the workshop
will expand your creative experience to include a meditative
approach to your personal expression.
